More About Find Your Reason

It all began as an inspirational message to our church, challenging each member of the congregation to choose a specific ministry to support. After teaching this lesson, I began to dig deeper into the effect that passion has on a person’s life. When someone is passionate about a particular topic, it affects how they talk, think and act. If you ask them about that subject, you will see their face light up. They take on a new level of energy and excitement. It pulls them out of the mundane, and you will see fire in their eyes. That’s when I asked the question: What if we could bring the power of passion into our everyday lives? As this question burned in my mind, the concept of Find Your Reason came into being and I knew that I had to find a way to share it with the world. FYR Presentations is my way of sharing my passion with you.

So who am I, anyway? My favorite way to answer that question is to say that I am Shona’s husband, Paul and Emily’s dad, and Papa to seven adorable grandchildren. I am just an ordinary guy who, by the grace of God, has been blessed with a wonderful family and with some amazing life experiences. My family and I have faced struggles and triumphs, heartache and happiness, setbacks and steps forward. I have been healed of heart disease and survived a stroke. I have worked in dirty, minimum-wage jobs and have been a manager with some of the largest corporations in the world. Currently, I am a Sales Consultant at Wood Motor Company (shameless plug!). Along the way, I have self-published two books and have written several articles and essays. I am an ordained minister with the Assemblies of the Lord Jesus Christ and a member of Turning Point Church. Basically, I am just a man who is striving to live each day for the glory of God.

The mission of FYR Presentations is to transform the world. This mission is being accomplished one post or article at a time, one book at a time, one presentation at a time, one person at a time. I am available to train your staff, inspire your volunteers, or develop your leaders. If you need someone to preach a revival at your church, minister at a conference, or encourage people at a weekend retreat, I am ready to help. I am also available for development seminars or motivational presentations at your company or non-profit organization. In the meantime, I will continue to share weekly and monthly “nuggets” to help you find your reason, ignite your passion, and transform your world!
